I F** CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!! HELEN MIRREN!

First father sent me text message that he got me LOVE RANCH DVD and I was like OK, cool :D and few minutes after they announced that Helen will come to Karlovy Vary

A few sentences about movies I saw at KVIFF. I don’t write what are those films about (you can find out by clicking on the name of movie, it’ll redirect you to imdb)

Jane Eyre - If I forget the fact that I almost died of cold (I entirely blame organizators for wrong weather) it was amazing movie and experience - JE was the first movie I’ve ever seen in summer cinema. It was very beautifully shot. I consider this version better than the one with A. Paquin. 5*

Markéta Lazarová - I’m not a fan of the book and the movie was very difficult to watch. Beautiful but difficult… and long ;) 4*

No tengas Miedo (Don’t be afraid) - it yould be better, more dramatic and the character of the young girl should be elaborated more deeply. On the other hand I was afraid that it would be more schematic (the character of that would be just a bastard, the girl just a poor victim…) and I’m glad to say that this movie wasn’t that case. 4*

Win Win - quite good but nothing special. The blonde boy was cute though. 3*

Die Unsichtbare (Crack in the shell) - one of the best. Someone compares it to Black Swan. Why not. The difference is that BS was made for huge range of audience. DU has no such ambitions and that makes it better. (btw you should know that I was terribly disappointed with Black Swan). 5*

Submarine - I simply like this kind of movies. 5*

Code Blue - great actress (Bien de Moor) but that’s all positive about this movie. What the heck was that even about? I think that the director doesn’t know herself (judging by her answers in discussion after the movie). 2* 

Post mortem - borig, quite irritating. waste of time. 1*

Le gamin au velo (The kid with a bike) - If I had this boy home I would kill him. I would, I swear. Such a bastard. So you can’t blame me if I don’t understand why that woman (excellent Cecile de France) let him staying with her. and saying that I also mean that the movie had no point (at least for me). 3*

Księstwo (The Heritage) - I liked that one. Maybe it could have been a little shorter. 3,5*

Notre jour viendra (Ou day will come) - if the end was a little bit understanable I would have rated it with 5* but being as it is I’ll go with 4*

Blue bird - I did not fell asleep only because of my own willpower. Although my friend loved it. but only 2* for me

Il gioiellino (The jewel) - what is there to reproach? Ok, it took me a while to get into that but that was my fault (I should have be more prepared and know more about it ;) ) 5*

Hanna - I had seen it once before but I wouldn’t mind seeing it again and again because Cate Blanchett is simply gorgeous there. and also bamf :D + amazing soundtrack -> 4*

Hi :) I am writting you in a hurry because I have trouble with connecting on tumblr via my phone so at least like this - I am waiting for another movie right now and I saw this internet cafe nearby…

We saw Judi Dench yesterday and it was absolutely awesome. First I got autograph when she was making her way to press conference, unfortunately my friend did not. A few minutes later we found ourselves in press conference room which we had been told was impossible. We managed. The press conference was 45 minutes long and Judi was in talkative mood. By the end of the conference Lenka made her way to Judi and she got her own signature. We have plenty of photos which I will send later when I get home.

The movie Jane Eyre is very good. I had feared that the role of mrs. Fairfax is not big enough but I am glad I can say this thought was wrong :) I recommend this movie to everyone, I think this version is much better than that one with A. Paquin.

Today we have seen another great movie - Die Unsichtbare. … Oh they have just opened the cinema. I need to go :D byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I want to thank everyone who helped me win. We did it :)

I’ve won 3 nights in (very good looking, probably luxurious :D ) hotel, festival pass (min. 3 movies a day, admission to all conferences) and phone (Nokia C7)

It’s all crazy right know. I don’t know that to do first :D I’ve already booked bus tickets which was almost impossible, everything is sold out! But I got them! I’m going with my friend LENKA and we’re so excited :)) I’m leaving tomorrow afternoon, I’m going to Prague first and on Friday we’re going to Karlovy Vary.

I need to pack now. The most important things first - black pen and poster of Notes on a scandal. I’m not going home without Judi’s autograph on it :P

Lenka is taking a camera with her so I hope we will take a lot of pictures I’ll send later :) 

btw, our movie theatre announced that on friday they will start solding tickets to premiere of Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows Pt.2! They will screen Pt 1 at 9 pm on 13th July and right after that, at midnight, starts Pt. 2. It will be hard but I will have those tickets! :P
